How Much Does It Cost to Become a Barber?

Are you thinking about becoming a barber? Thanks to social media and the resurgence of the men’s grooming industry, barber shops (and barbering!) are booming. If this is the sign you’ve been waiting for to pursue your barbering dreams, but still have questions, here are some tips and advice to get you started!

HOW DO I START?

Barbering, just like hairstyling, is a practiced skill — one you need to learn from professionals and become certified in, as per your local regulations. Our Institute’s barbering program teaches you fundamentals and advanced techniques in barbering, razor work, and beards on all hair types! You’ll also be provided with all the professional tools you need, and we’ll have you well on your way to becoming a certified barber.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There are tons of financial options available to our students, and we’re here to match you with the best option for you! With Manitoba Student Aid, Manitoba Jobs and Skills Development, and scholarships available, there’s no need to put your dreams on hold. We have personal financial aid consultations available, too, and an entire blog post dedicated to our most commonly used financial aid options!

WHEN CAN I START WORKING?

Attending the Aveda Institute Winnipeg to learn barbering is a great investment in your future. You can begin apprenticing after just three months in school, plus, our school’s reputation gives our grads fantastic opportunities in the industry to work with top barbershops.
